Inter-Korean general-level military talks were held at the Thongil House of Panmunjom on October 26 under an agreement of the north-south high-level talks for implementing the historic “September Pyongyang Joint Declaration”.
Present there were a delegation of the north side headed by Army Lieutenant General of the Korean People’s Army An Ik San and a delegation of the south side with Major General Kim To Gyun as chief delegate.
At the talks, both sides reviewed in an overall way the first-phase implementation of the military agreement attached to the “September Pyongyang Joint Declaration”. And they discussed practical matters arising in the next-phase implementation and agreed to take necessary steps.
