The participants in the 31st April Spring Friendship Art Festival and the 20th Kimilsungia Festival, party delegations from various countries, families of those who had met with President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and other foreigners, overseas Koreans and working people from all walks of life visited Mangyongdae, birthplace of the President.
Being briefed on the revolutionary career of the President who was born into the Sun of Juche and made huge contributions to realizing the cause of global independence, they went round the historic relics preserved at his old home in their original state.
The head of the Lao State Art Troupe said:
“Mangyongdae is the native place dear not only to the hearts of the Korean people but also to those of progressive humankind.
“President Kim Il Sung achieved national liberation by rallying the Korean people into one and devoted his heart and soul to the people’s happiness. We will work hard to bolster up the ties of friendship and cooperation with the DPRK.”
