It was on March 19, Juche 62 (1973) when President Kim Il Sung visited and selected the site where a mineral water factory was to be built. He named the product “Kangso Mineral Water” and stressed the need to make and sterilize bottles well.
During his next March visit to the factory, he pointed to the need to pay attention to making bottle caps and labels decently.
And he said it would be good to supply the bottled water to the working people in Kangso and train travelers.
He added that it was needed to plant trees so as to shield the factory from wind and improve the nearby environment.
