The school is located in Chilgol-Dong No.1, Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.
It has three school buildings.
Building No.1 has 27 classrooms of multi-function and building No.2 has different laboratories of IT, physics, chemistry, biology, language and driving practice and a library. Building No.3 has a lecture hall, a gymnasium, a swimming pool as well as the dormitory and the canteen.
The school yard has a football pitch, a basketball court, a volleyball court and an area with sports equipment.
Today the school is well-known as the one of gifted students to bring up talents of science and technology.
Here preserves the old school building where President Kim Il Sung studied. In front of it is a statue of President Kim Il Sung in his school days.
