Another year of victory has been recorded in the national history when the country is vigorously advancing to realize the ideal for building a powerful country with the might of single-hearted unity under the leadership of the great Party.
All the people of the country, who are greeting the significant new year Juche 110 (2021) when the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea is to be held, are praying for the immortality of President Kim Il Sung, the founding father of socialist Korea, and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who are the great leaders of our Party and people and the great sages of the revolution.
Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00, January 1, 2021, together with the delegates to the 8th Congress of the Party.
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred sanctuary of Juche where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are preserved in their lifetime appearance, was wrapped in a solemn atmosphere.
The Supreme Leader was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Pyong Chol, Kim Tok Hun and Pak Pong Ju, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, and other members of the leadership body of the Party Central Committee and the delegates to the 8th Congress of the Party.
A flower basket in the name of the Supreme Leader was placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
Also laid there were flower baskets in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The Supreme Leader, together with the visitors, paid high tribute to the statues.
At the halls where the great leaders are preserved in their lifetime appearance, Kim Jong Un offered them his new year greetings in the deepest reverence.
The members of the leadership body of the Party Central Committee and the delegates to the Party Congress hardened their pledge to glorify the 8th Congress of the Party so that it would mark a watershed in the development of the Party and the revolution and fulfill their responsibility and duty in the advance of the new year to bring earlier a fresh victory of the socialist cause.
