The residents in the flood-hit areas of South Hamgyong Province moved into new houses on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Officials and other working people in the province and service personnel of the Korean People’s Army splendidly built in a short period of time new houses in the disaster-stricken areas of Sinhung, Hongwon and Yonggwang counties and Hamhung City on the strength of army-people joint operations.
Ceremonies for moving into new houses took place in those areas on October 10.
They were attended by Chairman Kim Yong Sik of the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, officials concerned, KPA service personnel, builders in the province, residents in the flood-hit areas and other working people.
Congratulatory speeches were made at the ceremonies.
House licenses were given to the residents amid loud applause of participants, and oath-taking speeches were made.
Then, the flood victims began moving into new houses.
The villages overflowed with joy of those moving into their new houses amid the congratulations of officials, service personnel and builders on the significant October holiday and with cheerful dancing of other villagers.
Officials of Party and power organs of the province and commanding officers of KPA units visited families that have just moved into new houses and shared joy with them.
