The research team at the Physics Faculty of Kim Il Sung University has recently registered successes in the study into nonlinear optical phenomena in nano-plasmon resonance, which is in the limelight of the academic world. It has thus laid solid foundations for developing information, nano, new materials and new energy technologies on the basis of interaction of light and nano materials.
Prof. and PhD Im Song Jin is the head of the research team.
His research findings in the nonlinear nano-optics sphere published in 2015 was carried in an international booklet “Progress in Nonlinear Nano-optics” brought out by a prestigious publishing house of a country.
He has since 2017 presented valuable papers to the international science journals every year. He was inscribed as a scholar representing the DPRK in Marquis Who’s Who in 2018 and 2019.
He was awarded twice the February 16 Sci- Tech Prize, the highest honour in the science and technology sector of the country, in 2017 and 2021, and selected as one of the national top scientists and technicians of the DPRK in 2020.
