Working Class and Trade Union Members Hold Oath-taking Meeting

The working class and trade union members had an oath-taking meeting on May 29.

The meeting was held before the statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill. Present there were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, delegates to the Eighth Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) and observers.

Prior to the meeting, the participants laid a flower basket, bouquets and flowers at the statues of the great leaders and made a deep bow to them.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, delivered a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers expressed their steadfast will to give fullest play to the might of the advance units in the sacred struggle for opening up a new era of upsurge in socialist construction by implementing to the letter the important tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un in his letter sent to the participants in the Eighth Congress of the GFTUK.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
