The 89th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army was significantly celebrated in different parts of the DPRK.
Many people visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme sanctuary of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state, and made a deep bow before the portraits of the smiling images.
Service personnel and the people visited the statues of the great leaders and the mosaics portraying their smiling images on Mansu Hill and other parts of the country.
Colourful celebration performances were given at theatres and open-air stages in Pyongyang.
A concert was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre, music and dance performance by the National Folk Art Troupe at the Ponghwa Art Theatre and a revolutionary drama “Blood at an International Conference” at the National Theatre.
The National Acrobatic Troupe gave a combined acrobatic performance to please the Pyongyang citizens.
National art troupes and art squads, art squads and itinerant art squads in Pyongyang gave outdoor performances to rev up the festive atmosphere.
Similar performances were also given in North and South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, and North and South Hamgyong provinces.
