The Pyongyang Turf Institute is registering success in its research into developing new species of turfs and compound fertilizer.
Its researchers have recently produced good species of turfs by intensifying their research into acclimatizing various species of turfs to the climatic conditions of the country.
They solved technical problems arising in breeding and cultivating the species of ever-green turf with strong resistance to cold and stepping and great ornamental effects.
They also established a new line of producing a fertilizer exclusive for turfs and a compound fertilizer with marine algae as its main raw material.
The compound fertilizer and nutrient liquid for turfs are gaining public favour as they are effective in raising turfs, crops and other green plants.
Turf species developed by the institute are playing their parts in the landscape gardening of several projects.
