A meeting for reviewing forest restoration campaign and general mobilization drive for land administration took place at the People’s Palace of Culture by way of video conference on February 14.
It was attended by Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, O Su Yong, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, other senior Party and government officials, and officials of the Cabinet, commissions, ministries, national agencies, educational institutions, provincial, city, county Party and power organs, and those in the sectors of forest restoration and land and environmental conservation.
Also present there were Minister Kim Jong Gwan of the National Defence and other officials of the armed forces organs.
The meeting analyzed and reviewed the achievements and lessons made in forest restoration campaign and general mobilization drive for land administration last year. It had a discussion on the measures for drawing up innovative plans in such a way as to make practical changes and substantial advance from the first year of carrying out the new five-year plan, the year decisive of the success or failure in the implementation of the decisions made at the Eighth Congress of the WPK, and bringing about a decisive turn in land administration and conservation of ecological environment.
A video was screened first at the meeting, showing the forest restoration campaign and general mobilization drive for land administration last year.
Deviations revealed in the last year’s work were pointed out at the meeting.
The meeting stressed the need for all officials to take the lead in the drive to turn the country into a socialist paradise and a land of golden tapestry in the era of the Workers’ Party with the faith that they can surely build a socialist power on this land by relying on their own strength, technology and resources.
