Lunar New Year’s Day Celebrated in DPRK

The Korean people significantly celebrated the lunar New Year’s Day in Juche 110 (2021).

Crowds visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, and looked back upon the sacred revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with deep emotion.

The Korean people and service personnel visited the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and their beaming portraits in other parts of the country to lay flower baskets and bouquets at the statues and extended lunar New Year’s Day greetings to them.

Laughter of happiness resounded throughout the country, including new houses, villages and streets.

All public catering amenities in the country served holiday services to make the people happy.

Diners spent a good time while relishing popular national foods and other special dishes of local areas in public service amenities, including Okryu Restaurant and Chongnyu Restaurant in Pyongyang and Kyongam Restaurant in Sariwon.

The outdoor stalls built in many places in the capital city were also enlivened by a variety of holiday services.
