The 10th Plenary Meeting of the Sixth Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea was held on February 3.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee.
Put on the agenda were the fundamental issues facing the women’s union, a peripheral organization of the Workers’ Party of Korea, to thoroughly implement the important tasks set forth by the General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the WPK in his report on the work of the WPK Central Committee at its Eighth Congress.
The plenary meeting first suggested a draft resolution for thoroughly implementing the decisions made at the Eighth Congress of the WPK, and closely studied and discussed it.
On the basis of their deep understanding of the fighting tasks and ways set forth at the Party Congress, all the participants studied the draft resolution with the main stress put on taking substantial measures for strengthening the organizations of the women’s union at all levels to become the powerful force in socialist construction.
A relevant resolution was adopted on the basis of the in-depth study and discussion and the detailed and correct methodology worked out in a realistic way for bringing about a fundamental turn in the work.
The plenary meeting discussed and decided on the convening of the Seventh Congress of the SWUK.
