Story about a Prototype Trolley Bus

Today, new types of trolley buses are running along the streets in the capital city of Pyongyang. They are manufactured by our factory.

Our factory, with over six-decade-long history, has produced a large number of trolley buses with different types in the past, thus rendering services to solving the passenger traffic problem in Pyongyang.

In recent years, it produced trolley buses of new types with high performance. Chollima-316 with upgraded technical specifications was produced in 2017. Its noise and vibration were further reduced, and a new electromotor with good manoevrability was designed and installed to increase its traction power.

The trolley bus is winning popularity among citizens.

Whenever they are told of the public commendation, officials and employees of our factory look back upon the efforts Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, made for the manufacture of a prototype trolley bus.

In January Juche 107 (2018), he visited our factory. He learned in detail about the performance of trolley buses and the quality of their fittings. He stressed the need to make better designs and a unique insignia, paint the buses nicely and make every fitting perfect in reflection of the people’s demand lest they should feel inconvenience.

Several days later, he personally toured the city aboard the new trolley bus at midnight. Noting that he cannot estimate its performance only at the sight of its appearance, he asked the accompanying officials to carefully examine every part with the attitude of the people who would take it.

In August, he visited our factory again to acquaint himself with the production of a prototype trolley bus. While overseeing its trial run that night, he said it would be splendid to see homemade trolley buses running along the streets and the people would feel very happy.

His love for the people is deep and everlasting.

In the future, we will manufacture better trolley buses in large numbers for the people.
