Waste Materials Turn into Products

Officials and workers of a textile wholesale store in Sosong District of Pyongyang are making a contribution to the improvement of the people’s living standards by recycling waste materials from knitting and textile mills and clothing factories.

Every year, they have produced over 40 tons of cotton and tens of thousands of sets of quilts with scraps of cloth, and are now turning out quality slate sheets by means of waste cotton.

They are also producing a variety of sportswear and children’s clothes according to seasons and various sizes of ropes needed in different sectors of the national economy.
