On the Road for People

At the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea held in May Juche 105 (2016), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said that the WPK would always faithfully serve the people and fight to the end for achieving national prosperity and improving the people’s well-being, upholding the slogan “Everything for the people, everything by relying on them!”.

He continued his journey of devotion for the good of his people with the ennobling view on them that he had nothing more to wish for, even though his body might be scattered like the grains of sand on the road for their good.

He provided guidance at the construction site of Ryomyong Street in January and March Juche 106 (2017). He climbed up to the top of a 200-m-high skyscraper which was not yet completed in order to learn about the progress of the project and other problems concerning the people’s convenience.

In August Juche 107 (2018) he inspected the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory and the Songsan Tramcar Station. Feasting his eyes on a prototype trolley bus and a tramcar, he acquainted himself with their specific conditions lest the citizens should feel any inconvenience, and oversaw their trial run.

In mid-August that year, he went round for hours the valleys of high and low mountains and rugged passes in the Onjong-ri area, with a plan to build a hot spring resort in the spa area of Yangdok County, and got familiar with the amount of hot spring water gushing per day and its temperature and other major characteristics. He visited the county where the project went full steam ahead several times in 2018, in a bid to build the best structures for the sake of people and create lots of assets for their well-being.

Thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Un who made devoted efforts to bring the people’s happiness into bloom, regarding their misfortune as his pain, the beautiful socialist villages have been built in several parts of the country which suffered severe damage from consecutive floods and typhoons this year.
