The Kowon Taehung Power Station was built in South Hamgyong Province.
The power station was designed to make effective use of water resources to take advantage of its regional features. It will make a tangible contribution to boosting production of the Kowon Taehung Machine Factory and improving its employees’ standard of living.
The inaugural ceremony took place on the spot.
It was attended by Kim Tu Hong, vice-chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, shock-brigade members and employees of the factory.
Kim Tu Hong delivered an inaugural address.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the power station.
