Disaster Victims Move into New Houses

Thousands of dwelling houses have been built in the disaster-stricken areas including the cities of Sinpho and Tanchon, Riwon and Toksong and Pukchong counties in South Hamgyong Province, Chongjin and Kimchaek cities, Orang and Kilju counties in North Hamgyong Provinice, and Sonbong District of Rason City.

Ceremonies for moving into new houses took place in the newly-built villages.

They were attended by Kim Chol Sam, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Pak Man Ho, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, Kim Pong Yong, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Sin Yong Chol, chairman of the Rason City Committee of the WPK, Sin Chang Il, chairman of the Rason City People’s Committee, officials concerned, builders and the residents in the damaged areas.

Congratulatory speeches were made at the ceremonies.

House licenses were conveyed to the residents amid loud applause of the participants.

Oath-taking speeches were made at the ceremonies.

Officials in North and South Hamgyong provinces and Rason City visited the new houses to congratulate their owners.
