An auspicious event of moving into new houses has recently been unfolded in the typhoon-stricken Komdok area in the northeastern part of Korea.
Beautiful socialist villages, splendidly built in the areas surrounded by high hills, the cradle of the residents’ happy life, are permeated with the devoted efforts of the service personnel and their moving stories for the sake of the people.
The inhabitants of Taehung-dong No. 1 area had long made painstaking efforts to discover high-quality water resource in the deep mountains, but all to no avail.
Informed of this, the service personnel, though busy with the reconstruction projects, went up and down mountain ranges rising more than a thousand metres above sea level, and finally discovered water resource.
They made and installed a large water tank around the spring and introduced gravitational tap water service in the houses under construction.
