Officials Should Make Selfless, Devoted Efforts for the Good of People

One day in October Juche 104 (2015), a few days after the celebrations of the birthday of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un told officials that he concluded his speech with cheers for the Korean people delivering a speech at the military parade and public procession of Pyongyang citizens in celebration of the 70th Party founding anniversary.

After proudly reviewing the WPK’s 70-year-long history in the event, he concluded his speech as follows: I appeal to all the Party members. Let us all make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the great people. Long live the great Korean people, united single-heartedly around the invincible party, the Workers’ Party of Korea!

Officials looked back on the day with deep emotion.

The Supreme Leader said our Party has been able to record only victory and glory in the history of the country over the past 70 years because our great people have trusted it and followed it.

He continued that it is the source of pride and great strength for us to have such a great people who carry out the Party’s lines and policies unconditionally and to the last without the slightest deflection.

Then, he stressed that officials should make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people with the ennobling view on life that they have nothing more to wish for, even though their bodies may be scattered like grains of sand on the road for the good of the people.
