Fruit Tree Saplings Are Mass-Produced

The Nyongwon County Forestry Management Station in South Phyongan Province is producing many fruit tree saplings.

Last year, the station completed the gravitational irrigation system for sapling fields, and is now producing hundreds of thousands of saplings in a year by introducing a two-round cultivation method in the plastic pane greenhouse.

At present, it grows hundreds of thousands of pine-nut saplings and tens of thousands of large chestnut saplings and other wild fruit tree saplings, including wild grape vine, tara vine and wild pear trees.

Saplings of aronia melanocarpa and sea buckthorn trees which are good for promoting the health of people are cultivated in the outdoor fields.
